I've been shooting the Kentucky Derby for the last six or seven years. It is one of the most incredible weeks of the year. It begins with a photo workshop that my buddy Skip, the KING of horseracing photography, runs at Churchill Downs. For the last couple of years I've signed on to co-direct it with him and play my role in the education and curruption of young impressionable minds. The program lasts for four days and then we spend a track while the horses workout during the week. This all leads up to the Kentucky Derby Race on May 1st, 2003.
